Installs almost anywhere
IBO Player is published for Android, Fire OS, iOS, Windows, macOS and the Samsung Tizen and LG webOS app stores. Very few players cover that many platforms from a single codebase.

IBO Player is the only application TVRegal supports, and this guide walks you through installing it, loading your playlist and getting the full channel guide on screen. Set aside about ten minutes — most subscribers finish faster than that.
Once your order is confirmed on the checkout page, we email you three things: a username, a password and a playlist URL. Keep that email open — you will need all three. You will also need the device's MAC address and device key, which IBO Player displays on its own welcome screen the first time you open it.
Each TVRegal subscription authorises a single device at a time, and IBO Player is the only supported client. That restriction is deliberate — it is exactly what keeps our servers fast and the picture stable for everyone. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
A short, honest appraisal before you install it.
IBO Player is published for Android, Fire OS, iOS, Windows, macOS and the Samsung Tizen and LG webOS app stores. Very few players cover that many platforms from a single codebase.
This is where IBO Player really earns its place. Samsung and LG televisions have limited player options, and IBO is among the most reliable of them.
Categories, favourites and search are all quick to reach with a standard TV remote, and the EPG populates automatically once your playlist loads.
IBO Player cannot record live streams to local storage. If recording is essential to your household, this is the limitation to weigh up first.
There is no picture-in-picture or split-screen mode. You watch one channel at a time — which aligns with the one-device rule anyway.
Playlists are registered against your device on IBO's activation portal rather than typed straight into the app. It is one extra step, covered below.
Every IBO Player installation, on every platform, starts the same way. Open the app once and it shows a welcome screen with two values: a MAC address and a Device Key. Write both down.
If the app still shows an empty list after restarting, close it completely and reopen it — the playlist is fetched at launch, not while the app is running.
Pick the section that matches the screen you will actually be watching on.
The activation portal accepts two formats. TVRegal issues credentials that work with either, so use whichever the portal presents.
A single long URL that contains your username and password already embedded. Paste it into the playlist URL field and give it a name. This is the simplest option and the one most subscribers use.
Three separate fields instead of one: a server URL, a username and a password. Some users prefer it because the server address, login and password stay visible and editable independently.
Whichever you choose, the result on screen is identical — the same channels, the same VOD wall and the same EPG. Your full lineup is detailed on the channels page.
With 26,000 channels loaded, the guide will feel busy on first launch. Three settings tidy it up in under a minute.
Open Settings, then Manage Categories, and switch off every language and region you will never watch. The guide shrinks dramatically and navigation gets much faster.
Highlight any channel and press and hold OK (or the menu button) to add it to Favourites. Your favourites category then sits at the top of the list — for most households ten to twenty channels covers daily viewing.
The magnifier icon in the Live TV section searches channel names directly. Typing three or four letters is always faster than scrolling a 26,000-entry list.
The Movies and Series sections work the same way as Live TV but present cover art, synopses, cast listings and release years pulled automatically from the metadata. Series are organised by season and episode, so complete box sets stay tidy. The catalogue refreshes daily, so it is worth checking the "recently added" category rather than assuming a title is missing.
Set a PIN and lock individual categories — the practical way to keep adult sections away from a family television.
Switch the decoder between hardware and software. If one particular channel stutters while others are fine, changing this is the single most effective fix.
Show or hide entire groups of channels. The fastest way to make a huge lineup feel manageable.
Clears stored images and metadata. Try this first if artwork stops loading or the guide looks stale.
Launches IBO Player automatically when the device powers on — convenient on a dedicated TV box.
Sets the interface language, including French for Quebec households.
Keeps the app current. Run it if a feature described in this guide is missing from your build.
Shows connection status and lets you confirm the device is actually reaching our servers.
This is almost always the decoder rather than your connection. Open Settings, Live TV Player, and switch between the hardware and software decoders. If the channel still stutters, tell support which channel it is and we will check the source feed.
Local bandwidth contention. Move the TV to a wired Ethernet connection if you can, pause any large downloads, and check nobody else is streaming 4K on the same line. Wi-Fi at the far end of a house is the usual culprit.
The playlist is fetched when the app launches, so a restart is required after portal activation. Close IBO Player completely — not just back out of it — and reopen. If it is still empty, re-check the playlist URL for a missing character.
The MAC address or Device Key was mistyped on the portal. Reopen the app, read both values again carefully, and resubmit. Characters like 0/O and 1/I are easy to confuse.
Android phones, tablets and TV boxes, Amazon Fire TV Stick, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows, macOS, and Samsung Tizen and LG webOS televisions. If you own any one of those, you are covered.
No. IBO Player has no recording function. If recording matters to your household, it is worth knowing before you subscribe.
The app itself carries a small one-time licence fee paid to IBO, entirely separate from your TVRegal subscription. It is a single payment, not a recurring charge.
No. IBO Player has no multi-screen mode, and a TVRegal subscription authorises one device at a time in any case. Full detail is on the FAQ page.
Yes — each device has its own MAC address and Device Key, so the portal activation has to be repeated. Contact us through the contact page and we will move your line across.
Send us a WhatsApp message and we will walk you through it live, in English or French, whatever the hour.
